This mezuzah case handcrafted by Ruth Shapiro using the lost wax casting method, uses as its imagery the Tree of Life, in turn referring to the Torah which gives us a framework with which to live our lives. The mezuzah case holds a piece of parchment, upon which is written 2 Hebrew prayers which describe the relationship of the Almighty to the Jewish people, as well as man’s relationship to fellow men.
