Description General Information Overview CEC is pleased to host the 11th Annual Diabetes, Obesity, & Metabolic Disease Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel on May 1-3, 2026. It is estimated that more than 1/3 of Americans suffer from a cardiometabolic disorder, a cluster of health conditions associated with cardiovascular disease and Type 2 diabetes. The associated morbidity and mortality deserve increased attention as clinicians address risk factors predisposing individuals to these disorders. This CME program will help healthcare providers identify these conditions and their related complications, and will address how to appropriately intervene with evidence-based treatments and risk-factor controls. Participate in enriching half-day sessions exploring the latest developments in diabetes, obesity, and metabolic disease. With your free afternoons to enjoy the many incredible attractions of New Orleans, this conference is designed to enhance clinical skills while offering a rejuvenating Big Easy escape. Program Objectives As a result of this conference, participants will be able to: Diagnose and identify cardiometabolic risk factors, including diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and obesity. Integrate evidence-based strategies and recent guidelines for the screening, prevention, and treatment of cardiometabolic risk factors and their comorbidities in clinical practice. Incorporate appropriate interventions, including lifestyle modifications, nutrition counseling, and drug and surgical therapies, based on a specific patient’s risk profile. Target Audience This conference is designed for Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other related healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of patients at risk for cardiometabolic disorders.
